Audio Visual Team

NEBC’s AV Team plays a key supporting role in ensuring that the Sunday morning and other special services run smoothly. Prior soundboard or production experience is helpful, but not necessary. New volunteers will receive extensive training. Commitment is Sunday mornings before Sunday School through the worship service and at other times for holiday or other special services.

The Awana program serves children from preschool through 6th grade. Class leaders and helpers assist the children in learning Bible verses, completing workbooks and playing games. For more information about Awana, please visit Commitment is Friday evenings from 6:30–8:30 PM during the school year.

Children’s Church

While parents and adults are engaged in worship in the church sanctuary, children in grades 1–3 have their own worship service with singing and Bible teaching. Teachers serve on a rotating basis. More volunteer teachers and helpers are needed. Commitment is Sunday morning during the 10:00 AM worship service hour.

Children’s Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School teachers and helpers bring the word of God to kids ages 4 through 8th grade. The greatest need is for summer substitutes to give our current teachers a much needed break. Commitment is every Sunday morning from 9:00–9:45 AM.

Clean Team

Providing a clean facility is a tangible way to express God’s love to NEBC members and visitors. Cleaning is done twice a week and volunteers serve on a rotating basis. Commitment time is approximately 2-3 hours once a month.

ESL Ministry

NEBC provides free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to adults in the community. Teachers and substitutes are needed. Commitment is 1–3 days a week from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM during the school year. Click here for more information on our ESL program. (link to the ESL page)

NEBC’s encouragement ministry is based on 1 Thessalonians 5:14. Join this group and help to lift up members of NEBC, our missionaries, and our pastoral staff through prayer, visitation, notes of encouragement, care packages and other projects.

Mary & Martha’s Kitchen

This cooking fellowship prepares dinners for NEBC family members needing meals, like new moms and those who are ill. All who enjoy cooking with a group are invited to come to NEBC on the second Tuesday of each months to cook homemade meals for those in need.

Music Ministry

Skilled vocalists and musicians help to lead the congregation in singing and serve to encourage all who attend worship services with their talents. Opportunities to serve in the band, ensembles or as a soloist are available based on current need. Auditions and interviews are conducted by the Music Ministry Director.

Nursery workers help to provide a safe, welcoming and fun environment for newborns through three year olds. Service opportunities are available during the 9:00 AM Sunday School hour or during the 10:00 AM worship service. Commitment is usually one Sunday each month.

Sunday Coffee / Church Kitchen

Sunday morning coffee hour helps to foster a warm, relaxing environment for people to talk and share and just hang out after the Sunday morning service. Help is needed with setup before Sunday School and cleanup following the coffee hour. Help is also needed with set up and cleanup following church dinners and special services where food and / or beverages are served.

Ushers play an important role in helping the Sunday worship service to run smoothly. They assist people in finding seats, take the offering and count attendance, act as a source of information for visitors and help to keep the service free of distractions.

VBS (Vacation Bible School)

Each summer NEBC explodes with a week of dedicated to teaching kids in preschool through 6th grade the Word, sharing the Gospel and just having fun! VBS runs with the help of volunteer teachers, assistants, game leaders, craft organizers, song leaders, storytellers, actors, snack and artists. Adults and teens are invited to get involved. Depending on which area you volunteer for, commitment may be for projects / practices before the week of VBS or just during the week of VBS.

Welcome Team

Friendly faces are needed to welcome visitors and regular attendees to NEBC on Sunday mornings before the worship service begins. The Welcome Team helps to pass out bulletins and also serve as sources of information helping people find their way in the facility or answer questions about the church.
