Pastor Tyler’s history with NEBC goes all the way back to 1980 when his father, Chip Thompson, first began making plans to start a church in the Merrimack Valley. Tyler and his brother Andrew were part of NEBC’s first service in 1982 and through the years spent many hours serving as greeters, ushers, janitors, parking lot attendants, furniture movers, and all-around church rats.
After graduating from Cedarville University in Ohio, Tyler returned home to New Hampshire and became a local school teacher and coach.
Before serving as Senior Pastor, he spent eight years as NEBC’s Youth Pastor—first as a lay leader and then as a full time staff member.
Tyler and Leslie have been married for 23 years and have four children. In addition to being a pastor, Tyler enjoys spending time with his family – skiing in the winter and going to the lake in the summer. He also loves to hunt, fish, and work in his vegetable garden.
